Do root canals hurt? The truth is that they don’t. A root canal treatment alleviates pain by removing infected pulp from the damaged tooth.
A root canal is a dental treatment, the most well known among endodontics procedures. You need a root canal when you’re in severe pain while chewing, have a cracked tooth or are very sensitive to heat or cold.
During root canals, your endodontist gives you anesthesia and removes the tooth’s infected pulp. They then disinfect the inner chamber and reshape the tooth’s canals.
