We are looking to add a strong candidate who can work at the front desk and help us with phone calls, treatment planning/presentation, and insurance coordination. Dental background/experience is a plus. knowledge of Dental Insurances is required for this position. Looking for someone who is committed to the dental field and has a passion for it. Someone who can multitask and pay attention to detail. Someone who can make sure the day runs smoothly. Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage before any procedures are scheduled, so you must have a strong understanding of dental insurance plans and policies
- Educate patients on their coverage and explain patients’ dental benefits and any associated costs or limitations so that they understand what their insurance will and won’t cover
- File insurance claims for patients, including all necessary documentation, and follow up on any issues that may arise during the claims process
- Track insurance payments and ensure that patients are billed accurately for any balance due
- Manage insurance provider relationships to ensure that claims are processed efficiently and patients receive the best possible coverage
- Keep accurate records of patients’ insurance coverage and claims history, which may involve using electronic health record systems or other software
- Handle patient inquiries and be prepared to answer patients’ questions about insurance coverage, claims, and billing, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure patient satisfaction
- Overall, a dental insurance coordinator plays a crucial role in helping patients navigate their insurance coverage and ensuring that claims are processed accurately and efficiently
Qualifications
- Dental insurance knowledge: The coordinator should have a strong understanding of dental insurance plans and policies, including coverage, benefits, limitations, and billing practices
- Communication skills: You should be able to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, insurance providers, and other members of the dental team, both in person and over the phone
- Attention to detail: You must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, while maintaining accuracy and consistency
- Customer service skills: You should have a friendly and approachable demeanor, and be able to provide exceptional customer service to our patients
- Organizational skills: Need to be highly organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records, files, and documentation, and manage the claims process efficiently
- Technology skills: Should be comfortable working with electronic health record systems, dental software, and other technology tools that may be required for the job
- Dental office experience: The coordinator should have experience working in a dental office or healthcare environment, with a good understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and best practices
- Overall, a successful dental insurance coordinator should have a combination of dental knowledge, communication skills, attention to detail, customer service, organizational skills, technology proficiency, and dental office experience to effectively manage insurance claims and support patients’ needs.
